I have these running backs:

Addai, R. Brown, C. Benson, D. Ward, B. Jacobs, & M. Pittman

I need to start 3 of them. With an injury to Addai, Ronnie Brown is my only lock to start. Any suggestions?

Brown is a given, Benson plays a tough D but gets starter carries so hope he scores. Earnest Graham and Pittman will be fighting for carries but pittman is the goaline back and will get catches so if you get points per reception is a good play. The derrick ward/brandon jacobs situation is like tiki barber/brandon jacobs of years past. The only way ward scores is if he busts a huge gain but he will rack up the yards.

I'd go with Brown Benson and Ward because he will get more carries than the other three

Brown, Benson, and Jacobs.

Jacobs will get most of the carries including the goalline work and be a top 5 fantasy RB the rest of the year.

Release Benson onto waivers already. The guy's a bum and isn't going anywhere.

He'll never be better than a 3rd or 4th back with no upside. I'd say there's 30 to 40 better rb in football.

Not from a fantasy perspective or a skill perspective as far as I'm concerned. The Bears aren't opening up any holes for him at all right now which is why he's not doing anything, but the guy definitely has the skill-set to be very good once he gets a line that can do something for him. Even with him struggling, he's still getting touches and that makes him a top 25 fantasy RB alone. Give him some time and some crappy defenses and he'll put up numbers. Against better D's, I'd be very hesitant to start him if you have other options.

I understand what you're saying but this is the guys 3rd or 4th year and he's never done a thing. It's because he doesn't care and isn't going to sacrifice to win. They got rid of Jones purely to try and motivate him by making him the only guy but obviously it's made him even worse. He's also played with a pretty good team with a good offensive line during most of that time. Yeah, they've struggled this year but he's not just playing below average, he's been awful. He couldn't even do anything against the lions. I'm happy to pick up someone like Selvin Young, Earnest Graham, Derrick Ward or Kevin Jones off the WW. If I had unlimited spots, fine, but when there's other options out there I can't see him being worth the space unless you're dealing with a lot of injuries and desperate. If you don't have injuries you should have been looking on the WW for a better player.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think he's one of the worst starters if football and he'll be long gone out of Chicago by next year.
